HVAC Installation & Replacement

New equipment, done right the first time. We replace worn-out systems and install new ones in government buildings, commercial spaces, and homes, with a start-up and paperwork trail that holds up to inspection.

When the old unit is done, the replacement has to go smoothly

Most HVAC replacements on public buildings happen for the same reason: the equipment is past its service life, parts are hard to find, and the building has been limping along on emergency repairs.

By the time the project reaches a solicitation, the people in that building have usually been too hot or too cold for a while. Our job is to get new equipment in with as little disruption as possible, set up and balanced so it actually performs, and documented so the facility team can maintain it for the next twenty years.

We're a licensed HVAC (C-20) contractor, and we install our own mechanical work. The same team that walks the site during the bid is the team on the roof during the install.

What we install

Packaged rooftop units

Gas/electric and heat pump RTUs, including curb adapters, crane lifts, economizers, and roof penetrations coordinated with the roofer of record.

Split systems & heat pumps

Ducted and ductless split systems, high-efficiency heat pumps, and fan coils for offices, field stations, and smaller buildings.

VRF / VRV systems

Variable refrigerant flow for buildings that need zoned comfort and better part-load efficiency, with refrigerant piping and branch selectors.

Ductwork, exhaust & ventilation

New and modified duct systems, exhaust fans, make-up air, and outside-air upgrades to meet current ventilation requirements.

How a replacement project runs

Survey existing conditions

We verify the nameplate data, electrical service, gas supply, curb sizes, structural support, and access before we price, because the drawings aren't always current.

Submittals & long-lead equipment

Equipment submittals go in early. Once they're approved we release orders right away, since commercial equipment lead times can drive the whole schedule.

Plan the cut-over

We schedule shutdowns around building operations, often on weekends or nights, and arrange temporary cooling or heating when the building can't go without.

Install, start up & test

We set the equipment, make final connections, recover refrigerant to EPA requirements, and run a full start-up per the manufacturer's checklist.

Balance, train & close out

Airflow is balanced to the design, staff are shown how to operate the system, and the O&M manuals, warranties, and as-builts are handed over.

Built for public-sector requirements

  • Title 24 energy compliance documentation and acceptance testing coordinated with certified technicians where required
  • Buy American / BABA-compliant equipment sourcing when the contract calls for it
  • EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling and recovery records
  • Seismic bracing and anchorage per the drawings and California code
  • Prevailing wage, certified payroll, and the full submittal and closeout process

Questions we hear often

Can you replace equipment without shutting the building down?

In most cases, yes. We phase the work unit by unit, schedule the cut-overs after hours, and set up temporary spot cooling or heating where critical spaces can't go without.

Do you handle the crane, the roofing, and the electrical?

Yes. As a general contractor we coordinate the crane lift, roof curbs and flashing, and electrical disconnects as part of one scope, so you aren't managing three companies.

Will you match the specified equipment, or propose an equal?

We bid what's specified. If an "or equal" product would save time or money, we submit it through the normal substitution process with full comparison data, and the decision stays with the owner.

Let's look at your project

Send the RFQ, drawings, or a few photos and a description. We'll review it, ask the right questions, and come back with a clear, honest price.
