Government Contracting

A contractor that makes the contracting officer's job easier

We pursue HVAC and construction work through SAM.gov and state and local bid portals, and we perform it with the documentation, compliance, and communication that public projects require.

Our focus

Why we chose government work

Public buildings are where people get their benefits processed, report for duty, fight fires, and see a doctor. They deserve the same care as any private project. Most of the time they get less.

We built US Builders to compete for that work and to do it properly. That means reading the specifications instead of skimming them, pricing the project we'll actually build, and treating submittals, certified payroll, and closeout as real deliverables rather than chores.

Contracting officers, CORs, and facility managers have plenty of contractors who can do the work. What they need is one who also handles the paperwork, communicates early, and doesn't turn every unknown into a change order. That's the contractor we work hard to be.

How to buy from us

Contract types we work under

Agencies can engage us through whatever contracting method fits the requirement. Here's where we fit in.

Open-market solicitations

RFQs, RFPs, and IFBs posted on SAM.gov for HVAC replacement, building repair, and renovation work, whether sealed bid or best value.

Small business set-asides

Opportunities reserved for small businesses under the applicable NAICS size standard. Our current certifications are listed on our capability statement.

Simplified acquisitions

Smaller repairs and replacements bought through simplified acquisition procedures or the government purchase card. Fast quotes, fast mobilization.

IDIQ, MATOC & task orders

Task-order work under indefinite-delivery contracts, both as a prime and as a subcontractor to primes on existing vehicles.

State & local public works

California state agencies, counties, cities, school districts, and special districts under state public contract code and prevailing wage law.

Subcontracts to primes

HVAC and general building subcontracts for prime contractors who need a licensed, compliant, and responsive partner. Teaming details.

Compliance

We know the rules that come with public money

Government projects carry requirements that commercial work doesn't. We build them into every bid, every schedule, and every crew briefing.

Licenses & compliance
  • Davis-Bacon & state prevailing wage. Correct worker classifications, posted wage determinations, and weekly certified payroll for us and every subcontractor.
  • Buy American & BABA. Materials and equipment sourced and documented to meet domestic preference requirements when they apply.
  • Federal safety requirements. OSHA-compliant site safety plans, and USACE EM 385-1-1 accident prevention plans and AHAs on contracts that require them.
  • Contractor quality control. Three-phase inspections and documented QC reports for federal construction work.
  • Security & access. Badging, background checks, escort requirements, and E-Verify when the contract requires it.
  • Invoicing & reporting. Pay applications and progress reports that match the contract line items, submitted through the agency's payment system.
Our process

How we pursue and deliver a government project

Qualify the opportunity

We monitor SAM.gov and state and local portals for work that matches our licenses, NAICS codes, and capacity. We only bid on projects we're confident we can deliver well.

Read everything and walk the site

Specifications, drawings, the wage determination, every amendment. We attend site visits and submit questions early, so the answers reach every bidder in time.

Submit a complete, compliant offer

Every required form, representation, and certification, plus a technical approach written for the evaluator and a price built from real quantities and quotes.

Kick off with a clear plan

After award: the preconstruction meeting, a baseline schedule, the safety plan, the QC plan, and the submittal register, delivered on time.

Build, report, and communicate

Daily reports, weekly progress updates, and early notice of anything that could affect cost or schedule. The COR is never the last to know.

Close out completely

Punch list, final inspection, as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties, training, and the release of claims, so the contract can actually be closed.

For contracting officers

Frequently asked

Where can I find your UEI, CAGE code, and NAICS codes?

All of them are on our capability statement page, which also prints as a one-page PDF. You can confirm our registration on SAM.gov by searching our UEI.

Are you interested in sources-sought and RFI responses?

Yes. We respond to sources-sought notices and market research requests for work in our trades, because that's how an agency learns whether qualified small businesses are available for a set-aside.

Can you provide bid, performance, and payment bonds?

Yes. We're bonded through [surety company], and we can provide bid, performance, and payment bonds as required by the solicitation. Contact us for current bonding capacity.

How do I add US Builders to a bidders list?

Email or call us with the agency name and the type of work, and we'll get our information to whoever maintains your list. You can also send us a solicitation directly.

Let's look at your project

Send the RFQ, drawings, or a few photos and a description. We'll review it, ask the right questions, and come back with a clear, honest price.
